The 10th Antrobus Cabbage Canter will be held on Sunday 21 September 2008 at mid-day.
The 10k course record of 31 minutes 49 seconds is currently held by Mike Proudlove (set in 2004). On behalf of 1st Antrobus and Comberbach Scout Group and The Friends of Antrobus St Mark‘s School, we extend a warm welcome to all runners for this year’s race. The start is on Barbers Lane with the finishing on the field of Antrobus St. Mark’s Primary School. Thanks to our many sponsors, the winners of the 10k categories will each receive a £25 cash prize. On completion of the course, ALL runners will receive a t-shirt and a medal and of course a locally grown cabbage! N.B. Historically the trophies for all races are awarded to those who live in the village of Antrobus or attend the school and who come in first in their event. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for participating and hope you have an enjoyable experience. All profits raised will help support Antrobus St Mark's Primary School and the 1st Antrobus and Comberbach Scout Group. |
